Christina Hardaway is a native Atlantan whose commitment to service has defined every chapter of her life—from a 14-year career in public service as a U.S. Foreign Service Officer to active civic engagement in the communities she calls home. Her belief that service is not a season but a way of life has carried her from embassy postings abroad back to Atlanta, where she continues to show up for her community.
Christina has been a member of the Thursday Network, the young professionals chapter of the Greater Washington Urban League, since 2017. During her time in the Washington, D.C. area, she served as the chapter’s Personal & Professional Development Chair, designing programming to support the growth and advancement of fellow members. That experience deepened her appreciation for the Urban League movement and its mission to empower communities through economic opportunity and civic engagement.
Her leadership in mission-driven spaces extends further. Christina served as President of the Pickering and Rangel Fellows Association, the alumni organization for two of the U.S. government’s most prestigious fellowships dedicated to diversifying American diplomacy. In that role, she championed the professional development and community of fellows committed to public service on a global stage.
Professionally, Christina’s diplomatic career centered on building partnerships, designing community-centered programs, and connecting people to opportunity across lines of culture, language, and geography—with postings in Cameroon, the Netherlands, and Mexico. She is also the founder of Devon Synergy Group, LLC, a consulting practice that draws on her policy and international affairs expertise. She currently serves as an International Student Advisor at an Atlanta-area university, supporting students navigating life far from home.
Christina holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Emory University and dual master’s degrees in Public Administration and International Relations from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
