About: Shanese Broadnax

Shanese Broadnax is a Career Counselor with KIPP Forward, where she supports high school scholars and alumni as they prepare for life after graduation. Through individualized coaching, career readiness programming, and strategic partnerships, she helps scholars explore college, career, military, and workforce pathways while equipping them with the skills and confidence to achieve their goals. Shanese is passionate about creating meaningful opportunities that empower young people to reach their full potential.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Southern Illinois University and a Master of Social Work from Georgia State University. As a returned Peace Corps volunteer, Shanese developed a deeper appreciation for cultural exchange, youth development, service, and community engagement, experiences that continue to shape her leadership and commitment to empowering others.

Outside of work, Shanese enjoys volunteering, mentoring, and finding ways to get involved in her community. She believes that investing in people and building strong relationships are key to creating lasting change. As a member of ULGA-YP, she looks forward to connecting with fellow leaders, learning from diverse perspectives, and contributing to initiatives that strengthen communities.
