Russ Hill, Jr. is an Atlanta-based technologist, civic leader, and community builder whose work sits at the intersection of technology, leadership development, and social impact. As Founder and CEO of Hillsphere Consulting, Russ helps businesses, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations demystify technology, modernize their systems, and scale with confidence. His approach blends strategic IT leadership, product thinking, and operational clarity, positioning technology not as a barrier, but as a force multiplier for people and purpose.
He has been a member of National Urban League Young Professionals (NULYP) since 2018. Russ was the ULGA-YP Chief of Staff 2023-2025 and Community Service chair for ULGA-YP 2022-2023. Prior to serving as the Community Service chair of the Urban League of Greater Atlanta Young Professionals (ULGA-YP), Russ served across committees in the Phoenix Urban League Young Professionals from 2018-2021. During his tenure in Phoenix his service culminated in being awarded the 2018 Member of the Year for the Greater Phoenix Urban League Young Professionals as well as the 2019 Western Region Member of the Year for the National Urban League Young Professionals. He is also a member of the National Urban League Young Professionals IT committee.
A proud Atlanta native and Florida State University alumnus, Russ earned his B.S. in Information Technology and certification in Healthcare Informatics. He currently serves as Vice President of the Urban League of Greater Atlanta Young Professionals, Vice President of the FSU National Black Alumni, Advisory Council President for Caterpillar’s Promise, Board President of Developing Boys Into Gainfully Employed Men, and as a member of the Emerging 100 of Atlanta. Through his leadership in technology and service, Russ continues to champion access, representation, and innovation across Georgia and beyond.
